Douglas Stamp, PA-C
More about Douglas
Douglas graduated from the University of Nebraska Medical Center in Omaha, where he pursued his passion for both science and patient care. His interest in human anatomy, combined with a strong desire to make a meaningful difference in people’s lives, led him to become a Physician Assistant.
He spent nearly 25 years in family practice, gaining a comprehensive understanding of the whole person and the full spectrum of care. Throughout his career, he treated patients across all stages of life, from newborns to those at the end of life, an experience that shaped his holistic approach to medicine.
Having witnessed several loved ones struggle with chronic pain, he developed a deep compassion for the challenges patients face, which led him to specialize in pain medicine, where he is dedicated to improving patients’ quality of life.
His personal philosophy centers on listening first. He believes that meaningful care begins with truly understanding a patient’s experience, which requires time, empathy, and active communication, often repeating back what he hears to ensure patients feel understood and validated. He is committed to collaborative care, making sure patients feel included in their treatment decisions and fully informed about their options. For him, effective care is not about telling patients what will happen, but about partnering with them to determine the best path forward together.
